I thought I could get by with the original charger I had for my former iPhone 7 Plus. But now that I upgraded to the 12 Pro Max and then tried to use it, it seemed like it took forever for the phone to charge. The 20W charger has made a great difference. AND...because of utilizing my reward points I was able to get a discount on the charger! I love it.

need to buy for new apple phones

I bought it because my new Apple 13 charges SLOWER than my old Apple 10 XR if I use the normal USB plug. New apple phones don't come with the as many charging accessories, so you need to buy it. Argh. Charges a LITTLE faster with the USB C than the old USB plugs/cables.
