After getting over that I was happy that this charger works with it to rapid charge your phone (3 times faster) than the original 5-watt charger. I was using the old adapter at first but finally broke down and purchase this. it's bigger than the original USB-a but not too bad, still very portable. does exactly as it states and charges your phone extremely quick, you can get a half battery in 30 minutes. I even use it for my iPad now as the original iPad charger was only 12 watts but that seemed fast at the time. If you want the same performance you can get the Anker Nano for about the same price and it's about the same size as the original Apple power adapter. since it was the same price I just would rather have something made by apple as it seems higher quality material and workmanship wise. Don't mind the slight extra size.

I was looking for good quality fast charger because my wife didn’t like the slow Apple 5w power brick the IPhone came with. Personally I don’t care because I charge my iPhone over night and I rarely let my iPhone down past 30%. The build quality of the Apple 20w power brick is nice. I find the size of the new Apple 20w charger brick a lot bigger than the Apple 5w brick. I do not mind because it is being used at home and I find it easier to grab the Apple 20w charger brick out of the outlet. Now with that said. I do believe because it’s bigger than for example Anker 20w charger that it can get rid of heater faster and better. I was able to save a few dollars on the Apple 20W charging brick because Best Buy priced match Walmart which was having a sale.
