It works the way it’s supposed to. You can buy third-party crap if you want and that’s your decision but the fact of the matter is Apple products usually work well.

I have bought four different USB-C AC adapters brands from 20 watts to 30 to 45 watts over a years time. I still find that Apple’s adapters are over engineered to be larger to run cooler to charge iPads with larger batteries with the proper charge profile. It’s priced great too when on sale. Go with what Apple recommends and you’ll be safer, especially if you have your iPad in a think case during warmer weather, it’s the best option to make your iPad’s battery stay cooler and last longer.

Being the fast charger yet, its available at a great price and is surprisingly cheaper than the usual 5w charger. It works great with my iphone 11 and 12 pro and charges from 0 to 100 in less than 1.5 hrs.
