My wife and kids have laptops and ipads, but wanted a desktop, so when you put this on sale, I couldn't resist...of course, it exceeded my expectations and we are truly loving it.

In me and my families opinion Apple is the way to go for all Electronics that Apple offers!!!! Biggest perk to my wife is NO messy wires all over!!!! Lol

Took me a day or two for the learning curve of using an Apple product, but now that I "get it" I would never go back to Micorsoft. Love my imac!

This iMac is wonderful! Replaces an older XP computer. Runs smooth and with ease. Only ONE PLUG! Love this ALL-IN-ONE! The price was right here at Best Buy on Black Friday. I have a small family of Apple devices and this fits right in. iPhone, iPad and this iMac all work together seamlessly. Beautiful DISPLAY! Gotta LOVE APPLE!

I have been using it for a few months. Its done everything I've needed it to. brows the web, watch video, and listen to music. the display quality is good. It just expensive for what you get like any apple. that is the reason for 4 stars.

i would highly recommend this to anyone! i've alwys wanted purchaasing this. but wasn't able. because of the expense. and lack of funds. i've never liked anything. that has to do with. the windows product! because there are so many problems. assocaited with it! it doesn't seem to last that long. whereas imac is known to. the only thing. i've been doing. is getting the lower end of the toteem poll. when it comes to computers. i thought the ipad would solve this. regardless of expense! unfortunetly it didn't. live up to its expatations! instead. i purchased a lower end laptop. but here again. nothing but disappointments! i know. i will throughly enjoy this. its hopeful. i won't have to go back. to the lower end for computers.

I excitedly purchased an apple iMac computer wanting to get away from Windows (Since I live on earth and not a "Cloud"). I quickly began exploring the computer and have found that neither maverick nor Yosemite will play embedded midi files. Being a musician this unreasonable problem is a deal breaker because I will now not be able to listen to any of the thousands of midi files unless I take the extra time to download them. These are not always made to download and would make my work miserable. I've called apple support and they have no intention to resolve this issue. It is well known issue that apple is ignoring. The only option I am offered from Best Buy is to pay them to install windows along side OS X as if I did not spend enough on this computer all ready. It doesn't even come with a disk reader!!! You have to purchase it separately. The operating system is not as user friendly as windows. I had many more options with my printer on windows than I do on the mac. I am now limited to presets with minor adjustments. Another issue is that if apple does not recognize the author of your download it won't let you install it. There is a round about way you have to manipulate the system to allow the program. Apple does not have all knowledge, and makes it hard on those of us who use perfectly safe, less well known sites. (like small time educational software) This system did not come with any office ware or design ware. I am a homeschooler who uses the internet often in teaching. I create 100s of work sheets for home and church. I also design flyers for special events. I use the internet for researching and occasionally blog with a friend. I am the pianist for our church and music teacher in our home. I would not recommend this computer to a musician or casual user nor to anyone who does not want to purchase many many more apps and programs.

I have couple computers but this is my Baby. I like it.

Back in 1985, I bought one of the early Macs, a 512K unit with no hard drive and all the peripherals: Printer, modem (300 baud rate), and a Jazz software package. Cost for everything was about $3,000 if you can believe. At the time, the MS-DOS or IBM-compatible PCs were still without a Windows OS, requiring numerous key strokes to navigate from the dreaded C:/ prompt so the Mac was a quantum leap forward and lived up to the advertising slogan at the time of "A computer for the rest of us". Unfortunately for Apple and its owners, the business world gravitated toward the PC, using their software for various applications and then Bill Gates brought the first Windows version to the market in the early 90s which tightened the grip of its PCs as the mainstream computer to have. My original Mac finally died about 7-8 years later and I've been using Windows PCs for the last 20+ years as a result. So much for history. I went back to the iMac after all this time, thinking it would be another rich return to those simple days in the mid-80s when the Mac really was exceptional in every regard. Maybe it's because I've become so accustomed to the Windows units over the past couple of decades but the learning curve on the iMac is nothing I imagined it would be. I've viewed a few online tutorials on how to use it and slowly the information is beginning to sink in but it really is like learning an entire new foreign language. I'm writing this review with only about a week of having the iMac so take that into consideration. My point? I thought it would be an almost seamless transition from Windows back to iMac but that's not been the case. Those earlier days with the original Mac heightened my expectations but reality of learning the iMac and all its various unique systems has been a bit daunting...and unexpected.

I've only ever experienced Windows so I was a bit nervous changing to Apple but it's met my expectations and the computer is beautiful! Great purchase.

The product is really easy to set up. My first Apple computer, but the transition from Windows 8 was fairly easy. Great display and sound, love the mouse!

got this on sale with a combination of other discounts, if not for the price, the value of this pc drops. overall perfect for kids and home use.
