After being a Microsoft customer for over 30 years, I switched to the iMac. What a wonderful and less frustrating machine. It is so easy to use and I don't need wait for uodates to be made everytime I turn on the computer. Should have done this a long time ago!

We have always had PCs before and all of other devices in the house were Apple so we wanted to get a Mac and were realy excited. We thought that everything would be organized and easy. It has not been. If you are a single user or individual it is great. The problem is my wife and I have a large amount of music and photos that we share and bolth need acsess to. when using a multiple user setup on the Mac each person has their own email desktops and all just like on Windows. The problem is bringing in your music and photos. Only one person can have acsess to them. You can move them to a shared location but the iTunes and photos program will import them and make duplicate copies of all files in each persons personal folders. This will fill your hard drive quick with duplicate copies of all your media. Apples answer is to use an external hard drive to store everything. That's a pain, and slow. This sharing isn't a new concept. We have had shared photos and music for 10 plus years on our PC. Why Apple has gotten this strait I don't know. I have worked with apple care to try and get around their programming short fall here and they have now answer. I am now looking at PC s again and will have to return it. :(. I so wanted it to work.

I needed to replace my MacBook Pro, but decided to get a desktop this time. Fired it up, right out of the box, started the Migration Assistant, and was up and running.

The retina display is beautiful and enhances the user experience. I use my iMAC for watching movies and editing my photos in Lightroom. I also purchased the external hard drive as I own plenty of old school music CDs.

Having used apple laptops to edit photo and video for the past decade, I decided it was finally time to upgrade to something that would change my workflow for the better. There is simply something acutely unique about sitting down at a desktop or "all-in-one" and going to town on whatever work you have ahead of you. It can do anything I need it to do without taking up the space that a "tower" setup requires. Monitor "4k" quality is breathtaking. Speed is outstanding. Whether you are an apple fan boy or windows die-hard, this machine will impress you.

We already own multiple Apple products so we decided to go with the quality of an Apple computer when the time came. The iMac was a breeze to set up and the design so impressive. Love it!

imac version I bought is an awesome machine. I use it to dual boot between windows 10 and OSX and it works seamlessly. It is fast and efficient and fun to use

Once you go iMac, you never go back. It's my second iMac, used my first one for 8 years!!! Very,very happy with newest edition!!!

When I read other reviews saying this machine was slow, I told myself it wouldn't be THAT bad. Unfortunately this computer is indeed excruciatingly slow. I've never seen a pinwheel spin so much and for so long. It took 32 seconds just to boot up Microsoft Word! My five year old computer has it open in 6 seconds. I was hoping this would be great machine, but sadly it is one more product Apple has released recently that strongly states Apple no longer puts the users experience as their top priority. I called Apple tech support to ask what I could do to speed up my machine. The representative told me that it is a well known and documented issue and that there isn't anything I can do except return it and buy an upgraded model. In fact, the representative told me that when someone inquires about getting an iMac, they immediately let them know they need to pay the extra $100 for the fusion drive or look at a different computer. But there is a big problem with upgrading to the fusion which. Apple stripped down the fusion drive for the late 2015 models. It now only has 24gb of solid state hard drive on the 1tb fusion drive. If you want the fusion drives that come with 128gb of solid state hard drive, you need to spend eve more money for the 2tb version. This is extremely disappointing. Fingers crossed Apple gets back on their game sooner rather than later. As much as I don't want to make the switch, I'm considering returning this and *gulp* going with a Windows 10 computer. Even on a great sale, I would not call this computer a good deal.

I started using Mac computers a few years ago, and I can't see myself using anything else. This iMac is no exception. Looks great, runs fast, and has a great amount of storage. I would recommend getting an external solid state drive, though, as a 5400RPM HDD can be challenging at times. Other than that, amazing computer, and a great deal at $300 off.

I expected extremely fast work speeds right out the box, and is a little slower than expected. Great visual display and wireless keyboard and mouse is clutch!

Very slow!! stay away from base model. Also make sure you have enough RAM as it cannot be upgraded later. Do not but with 5400 rpm drive, it's a shame Apple offers those drives. I returned it and got the bigger model with Fusion drive. Works great.

Listen up, I'll tell you what to do. Go to best Buy, apply for a credit card and "bam"! Money for free. Get whatever you want, but this computer is worth it. 4k resolution, 3.1 GHz and 1Tb memory. The other "Macs" are good, but for the extra $250 ? might as well get the better version.

This computer doesn't have a CD drive. Had I known, I probably would've just gotten my old MAC fixed. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone who's looking for a high quality computer with a CD drive. Why take away something that worked and wasn't taking up any room? WHY, WHY, WHY???
