I thought it would operate like my IPad and iPhone. So very different from windows system. Can't right click for options. I purchased the IMAC desktop because all my devices would sync but it is very frustrating trying to learn the different functions. I think I will learn to love it but for now not so much. I found the staff at Best Buy to be very helpful and knowledgable. Highly recommend shopping at Best Buy.

Apple lives up to its reputation. This product is sleek and the data transfer from one computer to the next was easy. Do all the transferring first though. It will create a new profile which seems impossible to merge.

Brand new iMac and it runs as well as the one I replaced from 2010. Most programs are slow to open and you typically get the rainbow wheel spinning while you wait for them to respond. Adobe lightroom barely functions. After researching this, it appears to be a big problem and adobe and apple are blaming each other while people like me are screwed. Guess I should have reviewed it before buying. One would think a brand new imac that is 10x powerful would operate but its doesn't. Pretty sure Apple died along with Steve Jobs

I knew that I wanted an apple computer because they tend to last longer and work better than Windows. And hope to get a MacBook soon

I changed from a PC running Windows 7 which I was very at ease with to this iMac at the suggestion of a family member. I am not happy with the Mac. It is slow; it is is not easily organized; simple functions on the PC do not exist on the Mac. Screen print / copy and paste and other PC tools are not available. It lacks the wealth of applications that are available for the PC. It crashes. The Mac should have at least interacted better than a PC with my iPhone, but it doesn't. I can text messages from my Mac, big deal. Apple pushes its iCloud to storage everything. The wireless mouse does not track well. I have not found good video editing software as yet. Home movie play back is not great. I am stuck with it now. Maybe in time I will feel better about the Mac. I have used it for only one month. I know some like the Macs. Buyer beware, the Mac operation is a big change from a PC and not a good change as far as I can tell so for. One positive point is that the Retina screen is nice.

Waste of money! I am a graphic designer and use a MacPro at work daily. I purchased this computer for personal use, to be able to do some work from home as well as freelance projects. This is the slowest computer I have ever used! The design programs lag a little which is understandable with the size of the files. Starting the computer and logging in takes about ten minutes. When I open ANY program (chrome, word, calculator, notepad, etc) it takes about 3-5 minutes to open and load the program and they lag during use. I have high speed internet with a great connection so browsing the internet is fast, however when I try to bookmark, open a new tab, print, or do anything else in the programs it is incredibly slow. I have disabled the feature to start any programs at computer startup to try and speed up the process,but it still takes up to ten minutes. SO so slow that I actually dread having to do work on it. My husband frequently used this computer for video editing. The computer is so sketchy that he can't watch the videos while working on them, he has to save it as a mp4 every few minutes to view his progress. I frequently work with my laptop (Windows!) next to me so I can use that for all other tasks and only use the MAC for design. VERY disappointed in my purchase to say the least. For $1,500 I should be blown away, but I would still choose my $450 Windows laptop over this computer any day.
