A nice way to purchase from the Apple Store without having to put in a credit card. You can even use the camera on an IPAD to scan the code instead of typing it in.

Itunes have a slight delay from purchase to them charging your account... This also helps protect you from fraud or if you forgot the purchase, causing any fees...

I have found that iTunes cards are always appreciated as gifts. Especially now that you can "scan" the code instead of type it. Super easy.
