I absolutely recommend it it works Beautifully. Easy to use.

I am new to iMac and I was reluctant to spend more than twice as much on an Apple than I could have on a comparable PC. After using it a few times it began to grow on me once I figured out how to operate it. This machine is Lightning fast and has the best graphics I’ve seen on a computer. I plan on purchasing additional memory later on, but for now the 8 GB is sufficient. I purchased the machine so that I could learn to develop for Apple devices. The screen size is humongous. I would encourage anyone considering purchasing an iMac to go ahead and buy this.

I have used an iMac for 9 years and realized it was time for an upgrade. the 27 inch model caught my eye with its amazing screen.Moving all my content from a 2009 iMac to the new 27 was simply and painless.The new iMac is so fast it can make you dizzy and the Magic Mouse 2 is a joy to use.I find myself spending hours on this machine. Looks beautiful in my living room.

My 2010 iMac has served me very well, and it still does. However after 9 years it feels "slow" now, sometimes it can't handle massive design, photo projects anymore. And especially video editing (Full 1920HD can be a headache at times but 4K is just painful, almost impossible - even with SSD, maxed out RAM) Also, this model is "obsolete" by Apple. I have this on Sierra OS, I can go to High Sierra but it's not needed for me. With a big discounted price on the 2017 27" model, this for me was a great buy. Finally a "5k"Retina display - which is quite beautiful comparing it to the "pre-retina" displays, running on Mojave. Like all Apple / Macs, setting up a new computer is flawless. By logging into your iCloud, the setup is super fast and you'll be running in no time. Faster processing and it showed that right out of the box. My first test - even on the basic 8GB Ram - was editing 4K video and this was a non-issue! It runs and renders very fast using Adobe Premiere or Final Cut. Additional "heavy" programs like Adobe Photoshop / Lightroom / Illustrator. The speed of these programs now are a blessing, no lag at all on the largest files. Load up on these programs literally takes 4-5 seconds max. Getting the low end 8gb "base model." I am saving a ton of money compared to Apples price offering more RAM. In short, save yourself that extra money with this - with ALL iMacs offering larger RAM. I'll be blunt Apple overprices that simple upgrade. RAM can be purchased online, far more expensive, installing the additional RAM on an iMac model like this one takes no more than 2 minutes! I picked up 2 sticks of 16GB memory - very inexpensive online. Super quick install. Right now it runs at 40GB RAM - and it flies! The Fusion drive is serving me well right now. In time I MAY dive in and upgrade to a much faster SSD internal drive. But this may - and can - wait a while, getting into these newer iMacs are slightly more challenging compared to the older. So far, this has been a great purchase for me!

this unit was bought as a Christmas present for my boss's daughter. But it was purchased because we have bought several for our owners and employees. Fast, easy to use and nothing can touch this screen for bright, crisp images. A little more money than a widows PC, but worth it.

This machine replaced a 27" IMac from approx 2009-10 which died with a bad video card... I like the IMac 27, good high resolution screen, decent sound and much prefer the OS over any form of Windows... although do have windows box for security video monitoring... Given that, I feel Macs are over priced... but if you like the Mac OS, there are really no other choices. Mac support plan is good for the 3 years for which it is available, and reasonably priced. It must be purchased with the machine, or shortly thereafter. Includes parts and labor and customer support... things are generally solid during that time anyway. Downsides after that: 1. Apple seems to only provide security patches for the OS for about 3 years. After that you must upgrade the OS if you want the patches. 2. Apple discontinues making parts for these things after roughly 5 years... and there may be no third party sources... so know before going in that you may be on a forced upgrade treadmill. I tend to avoid this kind of thing, but for me, at this time, it is what I am comfortable with and appears to be the the right choice. This machine has a 4 core I5, the new ones just announced (and I believe more pricy) have a 6 core I5...

I've eyed these iMacs for years, especially when they had the 4k and 5k screens. I finally decided to treat myself during one of the sales, and opening a card for the extra 5% off. I have no regrets, wish I did it sooner. Everything about the iMac is stellar, from the packaging to initial power up. I have a lot of 4k footage from my drones and outdoor activities on GoPros, and the footage is brilliant on this screen. I am mostly a PC user, but will us the iMac for some web browsing, video editing and similar things. I find having both a PC and an Apple for computing to have advantages.

You can never go wrong with Apple products in my opinion. The screen is huge and resolution is fantastic! The speed is lightning fast. This iMac would make anyone happy.

I generally use PCs at work and Macs at home. We have had three desktop iMacs over the years and this was replacing a energy hog 27" iMac that was basically on all day and really slowing down. I suspect the cause was from older browsers on the old operating system that we could not easily upgrade any further due to incompatibility. As usual after getting a new unit, it is now blazing fast and with no crashes. One extra positive, the Retina display is really impressively sharp. Even close up I cant see pixels. I just played with a few high resolution wallpapers and the clarity is truly impressive.

I already had a 12 year old iMac, which is still performing well. I recently upgraded its ram and it’s performing even better now. My kids use that one, but I needed a newer faster one for my sound/video editing work. IMacs are great computers and pack great specs. This one has a beautiful screen, fast components, vertually silent, really thin, and awesome performance. Money well spent!!!

I’ve had the iMac for several weeks now, and it still just blows me away. Instant on, ready to go. Unlike my Win computers . And that screen ! That a lot of real estate there . I didn’t realize how big a 27 inch monitor really would be. The only drawbacks so far , are attempting to use the manic mouse , with that much space to cover. I am using my Logitech roller ball mouse , instead. Problem solved. Also, the USB-c ports are rather inconveniently around back, so I added a 7 slot expansion stick, so that problem is solved . Switching from Win to Macs is a learning experience, and I’m still learning where everything is . I don’t have much time to really use it right now , so it’s going slow. On the whole , I love my new iMac . I would Highly recommend it , and Apples support is superb! If you can’t find an answer in the online community, they are right there for you, and will take as much time to solve your issue as it takes .

The 27” screen is the way to go. It is bright and beautiful. Love the full integration between all my Apple products. Apple’s office apps like Pages, Numbers and Keynote are amazing. Much better than the Windows offerings. I am able to start a collaboration with others using these same programs. The collaboration allows other users to view my work and make live edits - completely amazing. Fast, reliable and sleek all explain this machine. I also got the Magic Trackpad, makes navigating that huge 27” screen much easier.

We Love it. It works great it's fast and easy to use. Love the large screen . Colors are so vibrant.

What can I say. It is a Mac. It replaced my 2009 iMac. Runs so smoothly, cannot hear it at all and so much faster. Setup is a breeze but then all Macs are. I became a Mac fan in 2004 and will never buy anything else again. Purchased it at $1699 (price match) on Wednesday. On Thursdays Best Buy came down to $1649 on a 3-Day Doorbuster. I went back to the store and they adjusted the price again. Apple and Best Buy - great combination!!

I’ve always been a pc guy but no longer. I use this with the adobe suite and it’s made a huge difference going from the PC to the iMac. The quality in the machine is second to none and I will never personally buy a PC again. The iMac works fluidly with my other Apple devices and with handoff I can literally move from one device to the other seemlesly. Worth every penny and I would buy it again without hesitation.

Beautiful display. 5K !!!!!!! Incredibly fast and easy to install. This won’t disappoint.

I absolutely love this computer and cannot give it enough praises. I have replaced my 2009 iMac, which still worked perfectly, but just slowed down a bit. I bought the 27" iMac on sale for $1599 2 weeks ago and it is incredible!! It is blazing fast and the 27" 5K screen looks phenomenal. It runs completely silent and can accommodate up to 32gigs of ram, 8 gigs is just fine for basic everyday tasks. Aesthetically it is just beautiful to look at, I installed several programs within minutes. Just remember that if you want a cd/DVD burner drive you have to purchase one separately. If you love to stream music and movies you will enjoy this computer. Written documents look phenomenal as well. It's an Apple!!

I sold my 21.5" Apple iMac that was about 5 yrs. old and updated to the 27" model. I love the new model. The size was overwhelming at first, large at first glance, however, I was able to adapt to the larger size immediately.. I love the speed and graphics. Best Buy was also able to price match with an online competitor. I am very happy with my purchase and customer service at Best Buy was Great!

I have always had Macs, and this is my third i-Mac. This one is phenomenal----great speed, great screen resolution. Like all Macs, it took all of ten seconds to plug in and be ready for business. Following Apple's tutorial, I had no trouble transferring content from my old Mac to this one. I used the Geek Squad when I had a couple of questions. Highly recommend this computer!
