Poor design!

Got another one and had the same issue. And no, there’s no dust in my phone. Switched to a third-party cable and it worked perfectly. Definitely seems like a design flaw in Apple’s cables.

Bad cord

CABLE THEFT

Have a new car, this plug works

This works perfectly, charges the phones up quick and is ready to go for our road trip this summer.
