This is the original cable. It has always outlasted the third party chords, but is def double or triple the price.

When buying accessories for apple products, always buy apple brand accessories. The charger works as designed and provides a quick efficent charge of the ipad . The charger along with additional charging cord (purchased separately) allows for a convenient way to charge apple ipads. My family has 3 ipads and and chargers seem to always get misplaced by accident. By having and extra charger in the house, one can always depend on having the needed tools to keep the ipad charged and ready for use at a moments notice.

Great cable, very fast recharge. Length of cord just right, not too long that it gets in the way or spills over and around things but long enough to get to most charging spots, desktop, tabletop, or car. Easy to pack.

Sick of buying cheap imitation cords that don't last.

I would recommend this product for your Apple products.

What can I say this is an apple charging cable. It does what it is supposed to, charges my phone. There is nothing spectacular about it. It is nice to plug my phone in though and have it charged when I unplug it.

So it's an Apple cord. Overpriced and does the same as less expensive brands. Doesn't last any longer than the less expensive brands. No reason to buy Apple brand other than to have Apple brand.

At $18.99 this cost - and is - exactly the same as they sell in the Apple Stores. Same original Apple packaging (with their own code strip over the original Apple box, sealed). Same exact price. So if it's easier to pick this up from a Best Buy (or add to a mail order with other stuff, as I did) go right ahead. If you have an Apple order or store nearby, same thing, same price. Choice is good. Shipping perfect. Price exactly "competitive".
