I have tried the cords from the big online retailers, even the ones with lifetime warranties (good luck), and nothing beats OEM.

Apple is the only one that can make these cables with good quality. Tried third party and they don't work good or last as long.

Left it in the car over the weekend where it got far too hot but the cords still work well to charge and connect to the car audio

After our dog chew or orginal cord in half we had to replace it. This works perfect just like the one that came with the phone.

Given this is an Apple product, you should never have to buy one of these cables. They tear up at the plug end way too often. That being said, they are sturdy for a few months. If you baby it, you'll keep it intact.

Most cables that come with the iPhone are short. I think they are 12". This one gives more length. Perfect for a nightstand.

its a good length of cord for charging iphone in the car, I've enjoyed this brand very much will never switch to anything else.

Apple chargers are the best, I've tried several other brands and they always die after a few months or they prompt an error message saying it's not compatible. My apple chargers always last forever and ever. I finally had to replace the one I got with my 4, I now have a 6.

My non-Apple charger was no longer compatible with my iPhone 5c. Looks like I'll have to stick with apple products from now on!

Wish it was longer. It's the only cable compatible with my life proof case. The only option was 3' or 10'. Needs to be inbetween
