    Works fine for a limited timer. There are 4 apple users at our home and it seems once a year someone's lightning breaks for some reason. We have tried generic ones as well.

    I was thinking that the length of the cord may not be enough but it was definitely enough for regular charging. I did not have to buy the 2 meters. I've not experienced any problems charging to the wall socket or to the Mac laptop or to the car charger.

    apple brand chargers don't hold up long depending on how u take care of it. If u are reckless with cords such as bending them the apple chargers are not going to hold up well.
