You get what you pay for!

This is a high quality cable that will definitely work with your Apple devices and will last. Buy a cheap cable off of Amazon or Ebay and risk it not working or overheating your $700 phone if you want, I'll stick with Apple brand and the comfort and assurance that I won't ever have an issue with it.
