You get what you pay for

The aftermarket cables might save you a couple of bucks, but those companies are reverse engineering a product with cheaper materials to save you $2. I purchased a few aftermarket cables because of the cool colors...my phone wouldn't connect to my car stereo. This never happens with the Apple Lightening cable.

won't use a different brand

Just bought it because my son has an 5C Apple phone and I wasn't sure if it would work as well with another brand. I love BestBuy but am not particularly found of Apple.
