Unfortunately, this cable is the only one that will work with a LifeProof case for my iPhone 5. The cable works well but I know that in time the plastic will fail and I'll be back again to purchase another one. I've begun to use a moldable silicone called Sugru to reinforce the weaker points of the Apple cables. That seems to give a little more life to these fragile cables.
