Needs more resiliency!

The cable jacket cracks and peels where it joins to the end connector and takes the stress of normal movements. After jacket failure, the wires inside fail shortly later. I have had better luck with after market cables. However, although their jackets don't fail, the wires do! I bought this Apple brand cable because the charing port access on a recently purchased waterproof case (brand name Qunne, not carried by Best Buy) is too small for most after market cables)

Of course, if you are extremely careful with them you won't have a problem with the tip. Since the lighting port portion of the cable can very much get damaged easily. It's still a good cable nonetheless, nothing beats the original.
