Does what it is supposed to do, but eye-wateringly expensive relative to other makes. However, since Apple regularly rejects any cables but their own, your stuck with the monopoly.

Lightning cables work for a while, but then all start to fail. They're too expensive, and don't last like a USB cable would work. Unfortunately, they're a requirement...

As everyone knows you pretty much need an Apple-branded charger to charge an older iPhone...at least you do with mine (a 6+). I have tried using other non-Apple charging cables and get error messages so I am stuck having to use Apple cables which in my opinion do not hold up over time if you use your phone with it plugged in. If you just leave your phone untouched while charging and don’t handle it much, it’s probably ok. My experience is that the end of the cable that plugs into the phone cracks and frays over time.

Nice charging cable, obviously it’s Apple. Also designed to not last more than 3 months so you have to turned around and spend another $20 or $30 for a new one after this one falls apart.

This is the second usb cord I’ve bought within a year and every time it gets close to a month is starts to crack around the piece that goes inside the charging port. It charges fine it’s just this one problem.

Needed to charge phone. Cost to me is high and the cord seems to last up to 2 -2.5 years and then you have to replace. Breaks at the connection to the phone-too weak

This item is pretty much notorious for breaking down especially around the connector area. Length is pretty bad as well. I recommend to get a longer Third party cable instead.

I rate this a 3 stars because the charger works but I have to insert it a certain way for it to charge my phone. When all other real apple iPhone chargers automatically charge when plugged in.

Only reason I purchased this cord was because I needed one to go in my charging stand that sits on my nightstand. This cord was thin enough to fit in the stand. Aside from that it's not very durable.

Nothing special, just another Apple charging cord. Seems to me they should improve quality so they don’t wear out so easily. But, unless you have a device with wireless charging, you have no choice.

Usual overpriced cable from Apple. Same as one that comes with most devices - not immune to the usual wear and tear at the lightning connector. Longer cable not much more pricey and worth looking at.

Just because it’s apple but it okay. Eventually the cord breaks on the end if u wrap it the wrong way. I buy any cord save my money just because it’s apple

I bought 2 so that I wouldn’t be without as the protective cover next to the part plugging into the IPad splits. It should be an L shape where the cord connects to plug-in.

Cords are one sure way o make sure the charging works for your Apple product. That said they also have a tendency to fray at the cord end

Not Best Buy’s fault at all, but well-known these cords don’t last long. I keep buying them though. Main reason is they are an official Apple product and don’t trust other brands.

The fact that it wears down every 2months or so . In my opinion I give it three stars. For the cost of costing buying a new cord, from the cheap material Apple made it with .

Why is it that Apple cords need to be replaced every year or two, while my Galaxy S3 cord still works after 6 + years? Hint: don't buy fruit products - their made to be replaced.
