I had a cheap one get stuck in the port once- so not worth it. When you buy the apple product for your apple device you know it is going to work.

Does what it does

Apple makes decent quality products but I do wish Apple would move away from the lightning port because it provides no benefit over USB-C, in fact it is significantly slower for data transfer.
