Purchased to replace the included charging cable for an iPhone 7 Plus purchased in fall of 2018, which physically deteriorated after 3+ years of charging use. It doesn't seem to work quite as well as the cable it replaced. It charges as expected when connected, but I've found that the Lightning end is prone to connectivity issues and it typically means that I have to plug it in, set the phone down, double-check to make sure it is still charging, and then not touch it. I have had a few instances with this cable where it was initially verified as being connected and charging, but then coming back overnight or after a couple of hours expecting a full battery -- surprise! -- not connected and not charging. I understand it could be attributed to general wear and tear of the port on the phone and can't rule out that a similar issue with the original cable wasn't also happening as the wire deteriorated, but I'm also cognizant of the manufactured obsolescence of personal electronics where 2-3 years is the general lifespan where you are either replacing the device or the cabling. So it goes. I'd still rather purchase the Apple cable over a third-party version.

So far so good - needed to get a new one and so far this one has not started to fall apart The others typically started within a few weeks after purchasing and they were mainly used for in-vehicle use

Ordered the charging cable online and it was available for curbside pickup within house. The Apple cable works best with the iPhone instead of the cable knockoffs and the price was right, too.

I use this USB-A to Lightning cable to sync my iPhone to my iMac hard drive and charge my keyboard. More expensive than other cables, but work perfectly.

Even though this item is more expensive than buying knock off brands on other online stores, they don’t work as well or last as long. This charges my phone icy quicker than other ones.

Works fine! How do you screw up a simple cable? You should not expect it to not function properly if design, raw materials, and simple manufacturing processes are carried out correctly.

Some people think it's silly but I always use real Apple cables and I've never had any issues with any iPhone - back to when I had a 4. They are worth it and a small premium to know your phone is safe.
