    Check your cables! My car play reciever was on the fritz, turns out the MFI cable I bought was the culprit. Saving $4 isn't a saving if you end up just buying another apple branded cable anyway! This is night and day better performance! Save yourself the trouble, use apple branded cables for connecting anything other just charging.
