For the price that you pay for this its well worth it, they last me a long time and the only reason that I'm getting a new one is because I needed an extra to have for my office.

Real OEM Apple lightning cable

However, many of those sold as OEM on eBay, Walmart, Amazon, etc. for lower prices are, in fact, cheap knockoffs. Best Buy sells real Apple cables and, when on sale, these cost less than from Apple itself. All cables can break. But if you handle these with care, they will last for years.
