    Apple cables always last longer in my experience. The shorter one is good for the car if your the driver. If passengers are in the car with you a longer cable might be better for the backseat passengers.

    Brought this for my daughter to use with Apple car play as other non apple cords stopped working after a couple of weeks. Works well and probably your best bet if you want a cord that will work long term. Since this is an apple product, you're goning to pay top dollar.
