A Necessary Evil

They seem to fray internally rather quickly and become finicky to the point of being unusable. If I can get my device to charge, I can’t get it to transfer data (e.g. connect to CarPlay), or vice versa. Unfortunately third party cables seem to be even worse as you get the “accessory not recognized” error message more frequently when not an Apple product. For me, it’s a waste of time and money but a necessary evil.
