    The purchase of this cable is those who buy into the Apple ecosystem. Want to charge your iPhone without a dongle, well here's your cable for it. The cable should be less than $10, but the premium is worth it to avoid carrying multiple cable accessories and it's constructed well enough where it should last at least a year or so.
