Broke on me

I took care of the charger the whole time and outta nowhere one morning i woke up with the charger stuck inside the phone. It is an apple product too which amazed me. Nevertheless i went the next day and bought a new one hopefully this one doesn’t give me the same situation

Opened the box and everything seems alright until I noticed a tear in the cord and doesn’t want to charge in any outlet you put it with any block. So upset.
