Not quite a necessity yet but useful and functional item if you have multiple Apple products that you want to integrate a bit more. For example, you can use it to attach your iPhone to a Mac and sync or back up your data to the Mac. I think it’s a good investment albeit one that is a bit more on the pricey side.

Previously, I had bought a 6-foot USB → Lightning cable from Groupon Goods and it was a cheap knock-off. I found myself unplugging and re-plugging the cable because the charge indicator on my phone didn't light up (product not MFi-rated). Frustrating as hell. Furthermore, the cord itself was mostly rigid though bendable, not as supple and flexible like your standard Apple cable. But this product is the bee's knees. To keep it from tangling, I roll the cable about 6 or 7 times and secure it with a twist-tie. When in use I extend the cord and keep it in a spiral for easy gathering. Oh, did I mention it's cheaper than buying it at an Apple Store? I don't even remember what I did with my old cable. Maybe I threw it away. Who cares.

"A cable is a cable", you might think. And this one, being an Apple original one, it's OBVIOUSLY on the expensive side of things. I have for years bought knock-offs on amazon, and they all disappoint. They really do. So I do recommend to take that little leap of faith (and extra $10!), and get this one. You'll be a happier person.

These chargers are amazing. They charge my phone real fast. If I charge it for 5 minutes it gives me enough charge for the day. I no longer have to keep my phone charged all night to get a full charge for the next day. Charging it in the morning meanwhile starting your day is sufficient for the whole day.

I purchase a new laptop computer recently that only came with one standard USB port, but 2 USB-C ports. The standard USB port is used for my wireless mouse, so I had no option with which to charge my iPhone. I bought this cable and now I can always have the charging option available to me. I use it approximately 2-3 days a week. It works great so far.

I bought this charging cord to help charge my iPhone a little faster. if you pair this charging cable with a good quality 18 watt wall adapter, you get a pretty good combo for syncing and charging! this cable also works pretty well with my laptop that has a Thunderbolt 3 connector, so I would highly recommend this charger!

Works as expected, I use it for fast chargers (both in my car and my home) and it provides fast charging in both settings. You have to use a fast charging wall charger so the standard white one that comes with the phone won't provide fast charging....you can't even connect it to that device because it connects with USB-C not the standard USB port we all know.

It's an apple lighting to USB-C cable. It does what it's for, and I can't complain. Great quality and must need if you want fast charging for your apple devices.

This is apple's short lightning to usb-c cable. Its good if you have a MacBook or iMac in which you don't need a long cord. When you buy from apple you know its going to work well with your iPhone. Its great to have an extra cable especially one you could leave connected and just attach your device when you need to.

I purchased two of these lightning cables thinking it would fit my iPhone 8 and my son’s iPhone. Well, at least that’s what I thought when I read the product description. I thought maybe it was a faster lightning cable than the one I always use for our phones. Its not. It didn’t fit our phones so I returned product to the store and purchased the correct charging cable, the one I always use. Although I couldnt use the product I’m giving it a good rating because it’s an Apple product, and I’ve never had issues with any Apple product when it comes to my phone and accessories.

I like the speed it charges my phone; however, the cable occasionally drops charges when you plug it in. It goes like this charging, not charging, then a few seconds later charging again. Haven’t been able to isolate the issue. Possibly it has to do with the usb hub I’m using, but I haven’t had any issues charging my Nintendo Switch through usb-c. I’d be weary purchasing one of these. The standard usb to lightning cables seem to do a fair job at charging the phone with a decent usb hub. Buyer beware.
