Only buy the genuine product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Our daughter bought one of those 3rd party Apple chargers and we ended up paying for it dearly. It was a cheap knockoff that ended up frying the power board on the MacBook. Thank goodness that the Magsafe board was less than $100 otherwise we would be looking at a logic board replacement for over $700. We learned our lesson - only genuine products like this one.

I love how long an original charger actually last rather than getting something cheap. I accidentally vacuumed my old charger... if it weren’t for the fact I had small children at home I would have kept my old beat up one that worked perfectly fine lol...

I wish they weren't so expensive, but there's no way around the price unless you're able to get an open box item, which I did. It was a few behind the stack of them, so dig a little and make sure there isn't one in there.
