    Only reason I buy this cable instead of the more durable cables from other companies is because these ones won't stop working after a few months. They aren't durable so while they will still work they will fall apart after a few months as well... and then I'll have to buy them again. Good job Apple at making me buy multiple wires over and over again probably causing more waste than if you used the more durable materials in the first place.
