Long term durability a detriment

However, I have not had a lot of luck with long term durability. They don’t seem to last long term and almost every apple cable I have ever had seems to short out where the wire enters the connector.

Apple cable. Guaranteed to work…and break

Best would be to find an off brand that works when your original cable is new. Then you don’t need to waste money on this flimsy rubber one from Apple that will probably break in 3 months just like the original.
