Solid apple cable. Though Thunderbolt 2 is dying.

The price...no so much, But that's Apple standard pricing. I've tried a few generic cables and found the connections to be inconsistent at the worst times. Using it to connect a Blackmagic mini recorder to a Macbook Pro with Thunderbolt. Unfortunately, Thunderbolt 2 is going away in favor of Thunderbolt 3 that shares the USB-C port. Get these cables while you can for your older Macs...before Apple discontinues them.
