I get great read and write speeds with this cable. I just wish it was not so expensive. I also use this cable to connect my macbook pro retina to my 27in imac to mirror the screen

This cable was too short for my needed so it was returned. However, it worked initial when I had the devices next to each other.

Still think that 30 or more dollars for a cable is way too much money. Things like these should really be included with all devices but apple being apple, will not do that. So went out and bought it and heres to hoping this cable will last me for years.

Works great! Make sure your screen is a Thunderbolt port and not just a DisplayPort if using with a monitor.

Currently using for transferring video from a hardware encoder to my mac. 4 stars, because the cable is so short for the price...but that is the cost of living in the Apple ecosystem. Works well, does the job as intended.

Genuine Apple cable that I used to connect my iMac and Apple Mac Book Pro in target mode. I was having hard drive issues and needed to copy data. Worked great but cable could of been a little longer... that is why 4 stars

I purchased this to connect two iMacs so that I had an extended display. This cable did the trick and now I am able to use my 2nd Mac as a display.

I had a choice of 2 thunderbolt cables. 18" and 6'6" (aka 2 meter). Something in between would have been ideal. 18" is way too short for much of anything. Lesson learned from my first purchase of the shortie wire: Go long.

I wish Apple made a black 1.6' this one, but anyway it's amazing thing. Bought it as a open box. Good price and satisfied customer )

Not all cables are created equal - don't scrimp when it comes to Thunderbolt cables the cheaper off brand cables are unreliable and go not perform.

Not much to say, other than the cable does what it is supposed to do. It connects my computer to the monitor. A bit pricey, but it is from Apple.

I have purchased several different brand cables but they almost always either don't work as advertised or not at all. This cable was outstanding

This was an opportunity to save a few dollars on what is a fairly expensive cable that I will need with a new Mac mini.

This little cable packs a great punch. I used this on a thunderbolt 1 MacBook Pro for thunderbolt 3 graphics card.

I needed this for a thunderbird sound interface. Works like a charm and have never had any issues with disconnection.

Originally got the short one. Exchanged for the long one. Glad I did. It feels cheap but haven’t seen a cable yet that doesn’t.

I got this in a open box deal with a very good price. I was not certain of the condition of the item but it was as good as new.

I needed a thunderbolt connection for a new laptop and external video device. Connecting was easy and the throughput is excellent.
