Needed this for transferring data from Mac to external hard drive. Super long wire came in handy in not cluttering work station. Which allowed me to have my hard drive stored on my shelf.

the thunderbolt cord is great especially when using migration assistant for a swift transfer.

What can i say, its a thunderbolt cable thats made for thunderbolt macs to connect to other thunderbolt mac or thunderbolt devices. i used it to transfer my data from my old macbook pro to my new mac mini using target disk mode. i at first thought something was wrong wrong when my mini didn't recognize my macbook only to realize that while both were plugged in, the connection on the macbook side wasn't fully in but was looking at it. worked like a charm and transferring gigs of data was a lot faster than i though. just too bad i probably won't use it again until i get a new mac or a thunderbolt device that doesn't include a cable.

If you need the connect mac, this is the best way. Super fast data transfer speed.

I'm able to use this cable to many different things. It's a good enough length.

This Apple-manufactured cable is well constructed and functions to spec. But it's way overpriced given the materials ind processes involved (im and engineer that specializes in product tear down and cost analysis). I will never give any cable or accessory five stars unless it is also fairly priced.

I got it because my machine has Thunderbolt and I wanted to be sure I had as much of an "all Apple" solution as I could get to be sure there weren't issues with this part of the chain... Sadly, it was the monitor that has issues but that's for another review.

Works great, ending up buying an off brand for a third of the price though.

The cable is lightning fast. It works really well during my live broadcast.
