    Apple's original chargers are the only game in town for safe charging MagSafe2 devices, so there's not really much to say. However, unlike subsequent USB-C powered Macs and the latest MagSafe 3 Macs, the power brick of this generation has the cable permanently attached - so when the cable goes bad the whole brick needs to be replaced - online now when you can just replace the cable.

    I bought this charger for my Macbook Pro so that I wouldn't have to tear down my desk set up just to get to the charger. It's a solid product but a bit overpriced in my opinion.

    I would only trust using an apple certified power adapter. If you try to go off brand, you may not get compensated if there was an issue, so better safe than sorry.
