    My original charger lasted about 4 years. The strain relief broke and the wires eventually shorted. Magsafe is great and it works well, just pricey.

    The inherent flaw in this charger, and what required this purchase, is the thin cord that runs from the charger and connects to the computer charging port. Over time, the cord twists and kinks at the connection to the charger block, and that breaks and frays the cord. It is a design flaw that is uncharacteristic of Apple. While the charger works fine when the cord is undamaged, it remains the only option for Apple users. I recommend it only because of that.

    OEM replacement charger that does what it is supposed to. Albeit, expensively, but thats how Apple is.
