It works as intended. I got 10 years out of the original. So hopefully my wife will be able to continue on with an older macbook pro for another 10 years? Heh

Apple Charger, easy to use, and last a long time . Closes in a compact way

These work perfect, I never have any issues with them. My cat(s) seem to love the taste or texture of the rubber on the cords as they love to chew on these bad boys. I've bought 3 for my MacBook and 2 for my wife's. It would be better if I could replace just the damaged cable portion, and not the whole expensive power brick part, but whatever. It always has been the thin cable, which is the cable that is not removable from the brick.

Until Apple switches to USB-C for all MacBook charging (it's currently only available for the latest 12-inch retina MacBook), we're all pretty much forced to buy Apple's MagSafe bricks. While MagSafe is an ingenious invention and the hardware design is top-notch, my experience at home and in the office is that the connectors can still break down if manhandled too much, or if you have a tendency to disconnect the cable by yanking on the cord (rather than pulling the aluminum magnetic connector part directly). For the price, it's a little disappointing that this isn't more hardy, but it's still well-designed and the standard in computer charging hardware.

I am hard on my charger. the cords get dragged around and beat up. They last just about two years until the cord starts fraying. You an tape them up but they come undone or i haven't mastered how to do itquite yet.. So I am off to Best Buy to buy another one// Love the Magsafe feature, it has savedme a ton of money on damaged laptops.. I keep two of them. one for in the house and one in my office so I doin't have to move the dord and unplug it..

The Apple branded "wall warts" (even when they aren't !) are always excellent in my experience. I've never had one fail (although I have had other brands not work "out of the box"), and (depending on the model) they come with direct-to-wall connection or a cable that connects to an outlet farther away from the adapter. They usually also have interchangeable plugs for different electrical systems, a boon if you travel internationally.

Works great as my cord for travel. No complaints, and it works just like original cable that came with computer.

Fast charging reliable product. What you would expect from a genuine apple product.

This is the FOURTH one of these we've had to get for my husband's computer. It has a bunch of design flaws which guarantee they break between 12-18 months of use. Apple makes nice, underpowered devices that aesthetically pleasing, but vastly overpriced. The only + side is they work together well in their own ecosystem.

A little pricey but excellent product. Apple Products are tops, hands down.

This is a great additional adapter for a MacBook Air. It is always great to have a spare adapter in your travel bag so you don't have to think about grabbing it from the desk before you leave the office or home. I picked this one up because it is from Apple and is a brand that can be trusted. I don't have to guess if this will work, because it is from Apple I know it will just work and work well.

Fast for charging computer. Had no issues with charger

I needed a new adapter in a hurry after a power flicker took out my old one. I live in the sticks, way too far away from an Apple store, but only about 45 minutes away from the nearest Best Buy. The salesfolk pointed me to an open box that saved me a few bucks, and off I went. This one works perfectly, and now I am considering keeping a spare one on hand to prevent any possible future need for so sudden a drive to the nearest big town...

Charges quickly. Sturdy, easy to find and well made

Great charger for the apply computer. My daughter's adapter broke and I was able to get another one that matched the same day.

Having had problems with my last adapter, I was glad to find this genuine Apple adapter available locally. I needed it right away so bought it at the store, which had just reopened. The store was beautifully clean, organized and well-designed, and the staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. It was a very positive shopping experience.

I've only had my power mac a few years and I had to replace this power cord. This upsets me as it's expensive and from what I have read in other people's reviews, it won't be the last time. I never had to replace my last mac's power cord and that computer lasted me 8 years! The new component must be flawed. After paying top dollar for a new power mac, apple should solve this problem for it's loyal customers. Unfortunately, there are no other safe options... you have to buy it.

Needed another cord and the one works great with my Mac laptop.
