I bought another MagSafe 2 connector for work. I love this connector. MacRumors.com reports that Apple is going to bring it back on future MacBook Pro models. Maybe they are listening at Apple.

Best Buy has sound reasons for putting Apple 'MagSafe' replacement chargers right at the front of the store. Of all the many Apple products I've owned (and used -- hard) since the late 1970s, the 'MagSafe' chargers for its laptops exemplify the very BEST -- and the very WORST of Apple Engineering. 1. The AC connector is the VERY BEST connector for ease of use, "bulletproof" strain relief and reliable longevity of any Apple product. Although replacement chargers come with a new AC cable, I'm still using the AC cable from the first charger for my 2006 17" MacBook Pro! 2. The DC connector/cable is the VERY WORST of all Apple products I've owned. They overheat, and the insulator material soon turns GREEN (Cu+ ions diffusing from the hot conductors) and gooey. Strain relief on the tiny MagSafe connector is basically nonexistent -- making connector failure a certainty. And that terrible cable/connector IS NOT REPLACEABLE -- forcing users to buy multiple replacements of the ENTIRE charger system. (I have bought six!! -- including six superb, still-new AC cables / connectors!) So -- SHAME on Apple for letting the abysmal MagSafe materials/design persist for decades -- and KUDOS to Best Buy for making replacement purchase as quick and painless as possible! I needed to replace my frayed computer charger and went to Best Buy to compare the price to online prices. I found an discounted open box charger. The price was lower than those online and despite the open box it appeared unused. What luck!

It was very good but when I brought the apple computer in to unload to the HP computer, I did have it when I got home. I am going to call to check to see if they have found it.

A weak point of Apple charger is that the cords always seem to separate at the connector or by the charger. Not sure if it is weak design, or bad treatment by daughter at school. I saved the day by getting a replacement. Best Buy made it easy to get one quickly. Gave 4 stars because I don't know if the materials are any better than the previous charger.

This was in stock and I needed it for my computer. I was home and was able to purchase it and take it with me back to medical school. I was really saved because mine went out and I didn't have time to hunt this cord and was able to have it for class the next day after I got off the plane.

Works like expected. But had to replace due to wire casing separation at connector end. For as much as you pay, Apple cords are known to be horrible with wire casing quality.

I bought this skeptical that it would work or last as a rebuilt product, but actually, it has been great. Second charger for my office. Does the job---allows me to not have to carry a charger between work and home. Would recommend.

I purchased this item open box item excellent to save some money because genuine apple chargers are pretty pricey, and my original charger finally fried itself after 5+ years so it needed to be replaced. It works perfectly fine and I have no complaints

My last macbook charger got shredded because I wrapped the cord too tightly around the body so lesson learned, I won't wind the cord on this one. When I bought it, I had great customer service and was helped immediately. Would highly recommend!

New puppy ate the wire on my old adapter and need a replacement fast! Best Buy helped us find one in their stock right at closing time and got us on the road. My Mac is now humming along once again ;)
