I needed an additional charger for my travel computer bag and I like how it conforms to other Apple products if necessary (iPhone, iPad, etc) with the easily detachable power source.

I bought the power supply out of desperation. Me and my wife flew to Dallas, Texas and I forgot my power supply. Good thing there was BestBuy in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I call a store and the power supply was held for me to pickup. Thanks to BestBuy to save the trip.

This is the original charger so it can handle charging from 0-100% without the heat-up problems. I would give it more stars if Apple didn't charge ridiculous prices for it...

I have the assurance that this power adapter will not fry the mother board of my Mac Pro. Instead of buying a less expensive generic version of this adapter, I chose to pay a few more dollars for quality and safety.

It charges your Macbook and does a good job at it. With such a simple product, you really can't complain or expect anything else. My old charger lasted about 2.5-3 years before the plastic shielding starting coming off, which I feel is about average for a power cord.

I am an on location photographer. My computer travels. The cord is too light weight in construction for today's mobile users. Of course it works outstandingly, but the first cord lasted just over three years. For nearly $100, I hope the replacement last a little longer. What ever you do, I would not suggest going cheaper and getting a knockoff... Cost brought it down from 5 stars to 4 stars...

I bought this for a 13" MacBook Pro retina. I know it is the 85W version and the 13" comes with a 60W, but it will work. The problem is when you go the other way, if you get the 45W it will overheat. I just bought this one for the office so I didn't always have to carry one.

I bought a cheaper knock off brand that stopped working after a week. This one is an apple product and I should have bought it to begin with... lesson learned.

I left my power cord behind and had to purchase this as a replacement. It works as it should and I haven’t had any issues. It does get very hot to the touch when plugged into my laptop, but I found this with my previous one as well.

I forgot my original one at home for a business trip so needed to pick up a new one just for the trip. Was able to find this one very quickly in store as it was the same one I have at home. Works just like the original and no complaints.

Item came perfectly as described. Well packaged and it works great! Great item. The only thing with the Apple charger is that it heats up pretty quickly.

Purchased this power adapter as a second unit to travel with. Therefore I can keep the original in it's place at home at my desk and not have to always crawl under the desk to untangle and unplug it every time I travel. Just makes life easier :-)

This adapter works very well.it is easy to connect and it is small enough to fit in my brief case for storage. The connector locks well in my laptop but disconnects quickly without straining the pins on the laptop if too much tension is applied on the line.

Needed a 2nd power supply with purchase of a newer MacBook Pro. Really wanted to stay with genuine Apple. And, I appreciate that our local BestBuy is an authorized Apple service center.

As with any apple product it is overpriced for no reason. I needed it for work so I had to buy it but wish I could buy an alternative brand. At least it charges the laptop quickly, only saving grace. But make sure you buy the correct one based on your laptop, I first got MagSafe not MagSafe 2 and had to switch it out.

I bought this item because my previous power cord became frayed. This one works wonderful.
