Where the wire enters the magnetic connection, the wire always breaks. This is why I have had to buy a new DC Connector twice since getting the computer. If there were something else, I would not buy this connector again.

It does the job and does it well, I just don't understand how a power cord is almost $90.00 that cost like $0.05 to make. However it is better then any non-name brand Apple Mac power cord for sure!

If I had other options, I would not have purchased this, but it is the only thing that will charge my Mac Book Pro. It is far too expensive for something that is not very durable. It frays so easily, which is so frustrating.

This came with an adapter that I didn't need. I told the folks at best buy I didn't need it. They said It was only sold with the adapter. I ended up having to pay $80 for the charger I needed plus this huge adapter I have no use for. Ridiculous.

All Apple accessories are expensive but its almost debatable whether to just buy new product instead of replacement pieces.

4th one I've bought. They last 1 to 2 years then crap out.

I use my MacBook gently, in the evenings usually before bed, and only half of the time. I have a MacBook Air I use the other half of the time. Both charger wires have split, and actually the same goes for my iPhone charger wires. All of my friends complain about having to buy replacement wires come to think about it. It was pricey to replace and it seems like a fault in the manufacturing if all the Apple wires break down with gentle, reasonable use. No choice but to replace. :(

These chargers have a tendency to break where the cord connects to the magnetic connector. Unfortunately the only option to replace them is to keep buying more faulty chargers from Apple.

I replace my power cord once a year due to poor durability and these things aren't cheap.

Wire wears out where it connects to box. This is my 3rd one. Very poor design, expensive.

Speedy Charge Requires replacement after 18 months with daily use as the cord begins unravel

Sad to buy something knowing it is made improper and you will need to replace again in a year or so because it will break again. Apple, your power cord sucks and the wiring disintegrates

I would not recommend a this. It caused a bad effect on my Mac, now I have to replace the battery.

My son needed a new charge for his Mac Book and this one met his needs. Works well.

Third cord I’ve purchased since I’ve owned my Mac … each 80 dollars … lasts 1 year each… not happy

I’ve tried third party chargers but none of them work as well as the original.

Positive: Cord is long. Negative: Cord is too thick so is not easily packed. As this is a power cord for a portable MacBook, I need it to be portable.

Given the weak electrical plugs. etc. used by Apple, I needed to buy this.

I got this the 17th, had no issues with it charging my Macbook Pro. Today (the 25th) I go to use it, and it refuses to charge my computer or light up. I tested it with multiple devices, various outlets, and even swapped out the extender with an old one to see if that was the issue. Still nothing. Very disappointed.
