Works well and it’s a good length, charges pretty fast as well.

First off, the MagSafe 2 connector is awesome. No more getting up with your laptop and having the cord almost jerk the laptop out of your hands, or pulling the power brick off the table. The MagSafe 2 connector just disconnects from the side of the laptop. Of course, sometimes it's also a little annoying because it comes disconnected and you don't realize it until your laptop warns you that the battery is almost dead. It's annoying but I can live with it most of the time. Everyone I've ever known to have a Mac laptop has had to replace the power adapter at least once before they upgraded to a newer laptop. Wrapping up the cord every time you pack up to go from one place to another causes stress on the cord and over time the wires inside the cord break or the connection between the cord and connector gets broken or frayed. Or, if you're really lucky like my younger brother, the power brick itself will just fail. I figure if I'm going to have to buy a second power adapter anyway, I might as well buy it up front and get the added benefit of saving myself 2 minutes every time I pack up to go between home and work. I think the design of the adapter could be a little better for portability and cord durability, but as long as you have one for work and one for home/travel (or one for work/travel and one for home), you're set. I do like that it comes with both the long power cord and the flip-out prongs, so you can carry the prongs with you but leave the long cord at work or home if you only have one power adapter. One improvement I'd like to see is a spring-loaded or manual cord winder. For example, the manual cord winder would be like on a chalk line tool.

Bought this as an open box because I needed another one for travel. Works perfectly. Magnet is tight and connection to charge is fast. I do wish apple would add a USB charging port on the converter so I can charge my iPhone off that instead of through the computer. I'm lazy, don't want to close iTunes every time.

I love my Macbook Pro and have had it for a little over a year. When my charger suddenly stopped working right before a huge work deadline, I was understandably devastated. Thankfully I was able to get to a Best Buy quickly to replace it. It works like a charm now, I just wish it wasn't so expensive!

only 4 starts because we should not have to replace a charger on a 1.5 year old MBP retina. Its exactly what you need but be mindful that most BB employees do not know which wattage adapter you need. Do not listen to then, just google your mac and charger wattage in store to be safe.

Works great with my macbook pro. They have lasted me about 4 years before they need to be replaced.

Looking for a comment that just said it straight: that it's compatible for macbook pro w/ retina 13.3 inch 2013 edition. And yes, blind bought it and guess what -- it works!

Gotta love the magsafe power supplies. They just work so perfectly. I had mine stolen at the Hilton in Atlanta, so had to buy a new one. Glad Best Buy had one on stock!

I originally purchased this charger to be a back up in case the original charger stopped working, however, this charger turned out to be better than the original!

My first charger's cord got chewed on by our cat so I needed a replacement and this one works great! I have a 15 inch Macbook Pro with Retina Display.

Sucked mine up with vacuum. Frayed portion of cord. Unfortunately had to purchase entire $80 cord not just the section needing replaced.
