    I bought this to replace the same, after 4 years of use. The spring-loaded cord wrap on my original eventually snapped, and the cord-mounted clip wore through the casing due to friction. Sadly, you have to buy the entire set of cables and plugs: there's no option to just acquire the converter or extension cable separate other than after-market / used.

    This charger charges my Macbook Pro. Nothing too special about it. It works. Only negative is that it run very warm, almost hot to the touch when charging my MBP from anything less than 90%.

    Have used many of these chargers. They are basically fine, but do have a design flaw causing strain near the attachment point so they do fail typical;;y after 15-18 months of use.
