    Although there is much to recommend Apple computers and devices like the iPhone and iPad, I find the quality of their power cords is lacking. For aesthetics they do not use strain relief at the ends of their cords. And the outer covering of their cords also seems to deteriorate and fail, something I've not seen on any other cords. There are aftermarket USB to Apple "Lightening" adapter available. But for the "Maglite"cord to MacBooks there is no after market item... so I there was no choice but to go with an OEM replacement.

    I like the way Apple has made their chargers. If some gets tangled in the cord it simply release from the laptop.

    Wire wears out where it connects to magnet. Then you have to put the wire in a certain position to get it to charge. I don't think there's another charger that's compatible.
