After 9 years of traveling use, my original cord was toast. However, to withstand the use and abuse it took, that’s impressive. As for this replacement, I already know it will last just as long. I’ll be getting the new M1 Mac since it’s release... So whoever I pass this down to will be set for a while.

Bought this for my MacBook Pro retina display 2013 -15 inch. Its charging is good, but it gets hot. Same problem I had with my previous charger.

As I work from two locations it became a pain to crawl under desks to move the charger for my Mac. Having a second charger allows me to just plug or unplug and go between the two locations without having to crawl around for the charger.

I would say this is a lifesaver - all of sudden my old charger stopped working and my MacBook got turned off - I ordered it late evening and got the charger next day morning by 11 am. My MacBook Pro is charging at this very moment and works great!

This unit is expensive but I have tried the cheaper offerings and they just don't last or cause other problems. Best to go OEM in this case.

Great, the same charger that you would find at the apple store. Why get it at the apple store? When you can get rewarded in points at best buy. The charger is the same thing same price. Always make sure to get the right charger for your laptop. You can easily google it and find the answer on the apple site, because i believe there are 2 or 3 different types of chargers depending on your laptop.

Had to replace my computer charger because my niece/nephew closed the cord in the recliner and became frayed. The original product lasted approx 7-8 years, GREAT product. I like that it comes with the additional extension cord now, because I don’t remember that being the case when the charger came with my MacBook.
