It was a replacement for the one I had, works great.

Bought this to replace old one as kids broke it as they kept on pulling the cord to unplug. Recommend to buy the extension cord because if it breaks again, extension side is much cheaper than replacing the whole power adapter.

Well, at least I could get this at Best Buy off the shelf. You used to not be able too. However, it's fro an older model Macbook and if I'd had the time for shipping I might have bought a counterfeit knockoff from Ebay. Once gain, I wish there was a "kinda" category for recommending to friend.

The power adapter connecter did the job as required.

The one that came with the laptop failed at the point where it entered the laptop, the wire is separated. It doesn’t look like they reinforce the new ones so we will see how it lasts.

My original power supply burned out and I feared that my laptop was not far behind. This new adapter was all I needed to bring my laptop back to life and extend its use.

I hate to say it, but you really need to go authentic with Apple stuff. Three stars - because it’s still overpriced, and the cord still frays way too easily. It is the real deal though, and identical to the original charger.

it is just like the original one for MacBook Pro, if you own a MacBook Air this will work with it but the charger is larger than the original one. The Airs come with smaller chargers than the MacBook Pro 2017
