    After many years of daily use, my charger developed a break in the wire and no longer worked. I looked up what charger I needed and ordered it online from Bestbuy - I walked right in and they had it waiting for me - a genuine Apple charger. It cost the same as everywhere else (I think that is something Apple enforces), so having it available and not waiting for delivery saved me 2 days of work.

    Well to be honest I accidentally bought these I wanted the type c version but ended up with these But they actually work well on my older machine very good quality and was package well by Best Buy
