    Well, I was in the market for a 60w power adapter, but BB only car carried the 80w and I needed it to turn in a school assignment that day. So I contacted Apple support and verified that the the 80w would work for my mid 2015 MacBook Pro. Apple stated that the MacBook Pro would regulate the wattage and only allow up to 60w, meaning that it would not damage the battery over time.
