It is a great cord, but a little expensive. I wish there was an option that was less.

I purchased an extra cord so one could remain at my desk. I chose Apple's own because of how durable it is.

This apple charger gets the job done fast and has a longer cord that is more convenient.

I always buy OEM parts in order to protect my investment in my laptop. This does the job.

Unless your laptop can function on solar this baby is necessary, and at least it won't tear up your laptop if the cable gets kicked out (which happens daily in our house with 3 Mac laptops). Apple, use Kevlar cables and charge $20 more and everyone will be happy! Otherwise, great product.

Why apple laptop chargers disintegrate is beyond me, whoever from time to time you have to replace it because I am afraid of fires. What can I say, it's apple... it works.

I was traveling and forgot my laptop power cords. I was able to quickly find the nearest Best Buy store online, check availability and when I arrived at the store I was greeted at the door and pointed to where I could find what I needed. Just what I needed to get back up and running.

I buy Apple products because they are reliable. Same with power adapters. I have purchased OEM or substitutes for Apple accessories before and most of the time go back and buy Apple. I just buy Apple now. They are always willing to replace if defective. Can't go wrong with buying Apple.

It’s a shame Apple doesn’t make the units better so we don’t have to keep purchasing new ones every couple years. I am very careful about my equipment and still these have a tendency to break right near the part that plugs into the computer.

The computer came within knock off brand of charger which only lasted about two weeks and it was shorting and it basically fell apart I would only suggest using an OEM Apple product for safety and also for longevity

This adaptor really worked well for me and it hasn’t failed me since buying it.

Buying the largest power supply will work work with all Mac computers from 15" down. I only have a 13", and this is approved by Apple. If I ever upgrade to a 15", I can use the same Power Supply. If I downgrade, I can use the same power supply. And the 65 Watt and 85 Watt cost the same.

Good product, sufficient for replacement needs. Too bad Apple stuff is expensive

Best Buy has sound reasons for putting Apple 'MagSafe' replacement chargers right at the front of the store. Of all the many Apple products I've owned (and used -- hard) since the late 1970s, the 'MagSafe' chargers for its laptops exemplify the very BEST -- and the very WORST of Apple Engineering. 1. The AC connector is the VERY BEST connector for ease of use, "bulletproof" strain relief and reliable longevity of any Apple product. Although replacement chargers come with a new AC cable, I'm still using the AC cable from the first charger for my 2006 17" MacBook Pro! 2. The DC connector/cable is the VERY WORST of all Apple products I've owned. They overheat, and the insulator material soon turns GREEN (Cu+ ions diffusing from the hot conductors) and gooey. Strain relief on the tiny MagSafe connector is basically nonexistent -- making connector failure a certainty. And that terrible cable/connector IS NOT REPLACEABLE -- forcing users to buy multiple replacements of the ENTIRE charger system. (I have bought six!! -- including six superb, still-new AC cables / connectors!) So -- SHAME on Apple for letting the abysmal MagSafe materials/design persist for decades -- and KUDOS to Best Buy for making replacement purchase as quick and painless as possible!
