We are an Apple family! As a former Director of Advanced Learning for Verizon, I and my staff had a great deal of experience teaching classes on both the Apple and Windows platforms. Apple (Mac, iPad, iPhone)is "hands down" the winner! I recommend Apple products whenever there is a legitimate choice to be made. I also use the iPad Pro and the Foreflight App in the cockpit for flying.

The 9.7" iPad Pro is essentially an iPad Air 3, and that's not a bad thing. A faster version of the Air 2, the Pro now comes with a connector that permits the Apple smart keyboard cover. It's a worthy accessory, but the Apple Pencil is the real reason to upgrade. I think it's an essential purchase with the iPad Pro.

Fast and when paired with the apple pencil this has totally replaced my paper notes.

The Apple ecosystem is expensive, but worth it! This iPad excels on performance.

Each year either my wife or I update our iPad...so our iPads are two years old by the time we upgrade. This time Apple came out with the 12 inch iPad Pro and I was disappointed because it was my year to upgrade. The 12 inch was just too big to easily carry around. I was excited when the 9 inch came out...the iPad Pro is well worth the money and was a great step up over my iPad Air.
