She is completely satisfied with the 3rd Generation and she says they are more comfortable that the 1st Generation. Battery life exceeds what she had when the 1st Generation AirPods were new, so it's a win-win.

If you’re looking to upgrade its not really worth it in my opinion. Battery life is better they go days without having to charge vs the old ones. Hope this helps.

Air Pods 3 great sounds

The only problem with these could be the fit. Apple changed the design. They might not fit as good for some people. These aren’t the best money can buy but if you’re in the Apple ecosystem these are a no brainer.
