Love them very comfy and reliable headphones to work with

I purchased the Gen 3 airpods when I thought I lost my gen 2 airpods. After receiving them i realized the design was a bit different. The fitment for me is not as good as the Gen2’s. The Gen 3 earpieces seem to be bigger and fall out of my ear easily. If I had to I would stick with the Gen 2’s.

Great sound. Wish I had gotten the Pro model for the noise isolation.

Watch out! These AirPods are a backward step. They don’t have noise canceling, and you can’t control the volume from the AirPods.

I got these before a lot of international travel because my 1st gen airpods had started dying quickly and I needed something with better battery life. Unfortunately I got them right before leaving the country for over a month, so I couldn't return them. If I could've returned them, I definitely would've. The mic doesn't work half the time until I reconnect them - so I can hear people on the phone but they can't hear me. It works sometimes so I always end up trying and having to call people back half the time. Super, super annoying. They also take a lot longer to connect and don't connect automatically like the 1st generation airpods did. They're so much larger that they get uncomfortable and hurt after an hour or so. The extra battery life is pretty useless if you have to keep taking them out because of how uncomfortable they are! Even after taking them out, my ears are usually sore for a bit. The original airpods worked perfectly and lasted a couple years before the battery started failing. And for half the price, I wish I would've just gotten the same ones or the gen 2. The sound is only a little bit better and the battery life is definitely way better, but again with all the issues they have it's totally not worth it - especially if you plan to ever use them to make phone calls... which is basically the entire point.

I have purchased every version of air pods, including pro. The 3rd generation are the first ones that have an odd fit and do not fit comfortably. Returning.
