I got some for learning guitar. After 18 years of playing through tube amps, using over the ear headphones just wasnt cutting it because I couldnt find a balance between music in my ears and the sound and feel of an amp in the room. Granted that I play around 85-90db with an attenuated amp, the airpods external mics do exactly what I need them to do to make me a better player; if youre using an amp any louder than 90db, you’ll want to wear legitimate ear protection.
